For the experts: size is 33.5 K!!! The map is over 6.5K!. I tried to move some internal buffers to location $9c00 (the alternate charset), but I experienced intermitent pauses on program execution. It just sometimes seem to stop for a second or so... any ideas? I'm still at work, so I cannot really...

Ok, got some free time and did something: I imported the newest map (just the used locations) and tiles (removing those not used) and built up two taps as demo for you to see... First some indications: 1/ I had problems with the INSET_WALL tiles so I had to substitute them with OBS_WINDOW, which kee...

The naming of the areas complies with Alpha but the designs are mostly my own. To be honest i got a little bored of trying to find all the rooms on the net, so i started designing my own. Glad you like them. Your designs are *really* good. I like them a lot. It is normal that you had to design some...

Hi Chema, not tried the new version, but have uploaded the 74 rooms i mentioned i'd done. I have removed a few graphics and created some new ones that should conform with your scheme. You can get it here... http://www.defence-force.org/ftp/forum/isometric/space1999/white.zip I'll now go and check t...

Ok made another quick hack... now the code is completely messed up :) The most important thing is I think I solved your problem with room names. Bad news is I did not work on the click-on-the-map bug yet. But I added another thing you asked me for: navigation with arrows (sort of). It is not the sta...

Man, thats a door frame . I had no idea it had another name. ROTFL... sorry for my english.. In fact it is similar in spanish: the equivalent for frame would be marco (a term which I had to refer to in english quite often, btw :O) but I did not use it because it refers more to the external ...

So many things... this will be LONG... :) What's a DoorJamb? ;) From a dictionary out there in the web: "The surrounding case into which and out of which a door closes and opens. It consists of two upright pieces, called side jambs, and a horizontal head jamb. These 3 jambs have the "door stop" inst...

Have a few thoughts about doors... Let me know what you think. It is is all because, when opening a door, the tile will be removed to open path for the character to walk through. 1/ In the COR_DOR tile the upper part could be put on a separate tile at layer heigth 3 (the max), so when the COR_DOR is...

This is a very interesting project! A port of some kind of mini-linux was on the original projects page many years ago and, to my knowledge, nobody took it (can't imagine why :) ) Anyway I allways found it challenging and now that you have started with it, I will follow your progress with a lot of i...

It loads up, but after loading the map, nothing is displayed in the World Map :( Sorry... my fault. When loading a world map the program searches for the label file and, as it does not exist, an error occurred and the world was not loaded... An empty <world file>.lab, where world file is with exten...

[I editted my last post by error and deleted it... I don't remember exactly what I said, but oh well...] Ok you have managed to keep me busy so late (my wife will kill me!), but the url http://www.defence-force.org/ftp/forum/isometric/space1999/white/weditor03.zip now includes an even newer version ...

Found some time to work on the editor today, and I have made some minor "upgrades". 1. A "Reload Tileset" button, which reloads the tileset and updates everything. You still have to edit the file by hand, but, for instance, you can change the order of the tiles, press "Reload Tileset" and "voilá". U...

eventually save banks of tiles that get reloaded from disk, compress some of them, etc... Dbug is Compression Master, or maybe that should be Mr Crunch? :) ROTFL... Then we will have to speak soon... :) Some other cool ideas... 1)A grab function whilst editing in White, whereby the cursor would hov...

Don't get despaired, finding and fixing bugs is a normal thing in software development processes, and users are generaly very happy to get as good, stable, usable software, even if it misses the occasional feature here and there. :) Thanks for the support. I know perfectly what you mean. Anyway bug...

One final note before i begin designing the map, would it be at all possible (and i suspect not) that the world map grid could be set at an angle so that room exits could be more easily locatable. Like an orthagonal grid? Maybe i ask too much once again. :) You mean rotating the grid? I don't know,...
