Re: Competition CEO: New Year 2019

Just to be clear, you do not have to use the OSDK: You can use any language, you can use native languages if you want, you can do BASIC, Forth , Assembler, C, Logo or whatever else comes to mind.

Interesting project, I need to think about it :)

Re: My first ASM and it doesnt do what I expect

Christian's answer is mostly correct, but he did make a typo in his code sample :D decrem sec ; Calc new display adress lda write+1 sbc #40 sta write+1 lda write+1 sbc #0 sta write+1 The two lasts "write+1" are supposed to be "write+2". Regarding optimizations, there are indeed many possible, like f...

Re: C/ASM profiling tools?

It's my profiler: http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/users/dbug/tests/Profiler/ Maybe I should make it easy to add to OSDK projects and document how to use it... Regarding emulators, Oricutron has an internal cycle counter that you can reset: http://www.osdk.org/index.php?page=documentation&subp...

Re: Serial/Parallel debug output

Just use the printer output, both Euphoric and Oricutron save the content to a text file, I used that numerous time for things like profiling for example.

Looks for "PROFILER_USE_PRINTER" in this file: http://miniserve.defence-force.org/svn/ ... /profile.s

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

Good news: OricExos works with Microdisc! :D Additionally small speed-up through tape link. It's time for bigger demo... Two questions for you: - Have you found a solution to enable the overlay ram on all three slave machines? - Is the communication only master->slave, or is there a way (even slow)...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

I do not think I have a 3" floppy around in my house but I could check with a meter and the proper dimensions. - 7.99 cm wide (really a tiny tiny bit less than 8cm) - 9.95 cm tall (really almost perfectly 10cm) - 5mm thick That's an Amsoft, can probably expect other to be a fraction of mm different...

Nice :)
So, with 4 intensities per component, we get 4*4*4=64 possible colors.

Keep in mind that the Shift Register based tricks do not seem to work on all the Orics.

Re: BomberZ.bas and bas2tap ..

Now, I was wondering a few things about labeled BASIC : - should we give it its own file extension (.lab) ? On which side, on the Oric sedoric disks for example, or on the PC cross compilation side? If you are thinking the later, then I think it's way too restrictive: My extended version of Bas2Tap...

OSDK 1.13

The version 1.13 of the OSDK is now available, with the following changes: - Upgraded Bas2Tap to version 2.1, with better handling of defines and DATA instructions - Added a missing EQ0W_C macro for the C compiler. - Added a missing reference to Sedoric in the library library index file As usual, th...

If you want, I can give you access to the SVN repository and you could just put your game projects in a users/badger folder like other have done before:
