And also, to my despair, I have found a bug in NOISE that I need to handle... more time for development that would not add more features to the programs. :( Don't get despaired, finding and fixing bugs is a normal thing in software development processes, and users are generaly very happy to get as ...

OSDK: Problems with C/C++ intermixed comments

Ok, I found out the problem with Chema's code. It's actually quite classic (I got the same problem in my own parser some years ago). All is due to this: //******************************************* // Tile information generated by wcgraph. // DO NOT edit by hand //**********************************...

It's a bug in XA, that actually appears with this simple test case: #include "picdef.h" .byt GRILL I hope to be able to find... in every case each time I have to delve in this code I try to do some clean up, because well it's kind of nightmarish :) Random code extract: int pp_replace(char *to, char ...

Hum, this is supposed work, I did that myself many times already.

Could you send me the project (that does not compile but should) so I can try this evening ?

Thanks :)

You could also consider C++ with wxWidgets.
The end result would probably be more portable, and less cumbersome for people to use since they would not have to install anything to run the program.

Without counting the fact that the frameword.net is kind of memory hungry :)

Cool, crossdeving with basic! :D I played around with it for a while, and can now present the worlds first 64 byte intro for ORIC: http://sdw.webhop.net/tmp/64bytes.tap  Well, that's funny :) And you even have room for colors if you want ! (just add things like CHR$(nn) to set ESCAPE codes to ...

Happy to see you there :) On this page http://oric.ifrance.com/oric/emulator.html you can download an archive of tools that includes Bas2Txt and Txt2Bas . Using these two programs, you can edit BASIC programs on your pc with your favorite text editor, and then convert to a TAP file that you can load...

That sounds good :) I will not subscribe to the list, because I have really no time I can regularly spend on such projects (I know, I already miserably failed helping fabrice on Atmosfairy after I said I would...), so I prefer to be out, but just help on specific situations if it can really help lev...

Then it's probably fine to add a documentation file pointing out about where to find roms, and have roms available elsewhere ?

By the way, if you want to have a rough idea of the machines capabilities, you can check both the game database on Oric.org (you need to register to be able to see the screenshots... don't ask), and the oric demos, on pouet.net. Well, I sure want to keep the cload/csave code, it's what I use for all my small tests, using "tap2cd" to transfert programs between PC and Oric. That's the fastest way to do it. There are probably other parts of the ROM that can be removed without too much harm - like the handling of specialy forma...
