I have no idea about real harware + HxC supporting it. I thought that was more or less what you were testing the other day at the meeting, was I wrong? We only try 80 track floppy, that is standard HD floppy. anyway if we want to use the remote mode of the HxC, we need to be able to access more tha...

Perhaps a sound signature of the inventor of the AY? Some instructions not listed in the 6502 runs correctly, the engineers hide us something... In fact, it seems related to the way random number are generated. The noise generator is mainly a random function, and since on computer random is never r...

I wonder how this is managed in emulators, perhaps you could check in Oricutron's source code, or alternatively contact Retromaster (the creators or cumulus) or Andre Cheramy (CEO mag editor in chief) who is quite knoledgeable about the microdisk. That's a good advice, thanks, I will check with Andre

Dbug wrote:The HxC still needs to go on the controller board, so I guess the question is to know if the WD chip would accept values like 100 tracks per disk :)
It looks like that on Atari and Amiga, their FDC is able to do this, maybe our can do it?

Microdisk BootRom & some hardware specs

Hi all, I currently trying to debug why the HxC and Microdisk (MD) does not like eachother during powerup, and after MD schematics check, it seems it does not use "classic" floppy signal for media insertion. (pin 34 or pin 2) I have two question: - Is there is already something like "L'oric a nu" or...

Sedoric is limited by its 2-sectors bitmap size. André C. already pushed its limits to the maximum, unsupported by real floppy disks but fine for emulators use (calling it "Bigdisk"), which is: 2 sides, 101 tracks of 19 sectors. Then the bitmap is fully used. Do you think that we can activate this ...

The loading times could be made smaller if Fabrice's quick loading patch is applied (never tried it, but it seemed to work when loading from CDs and PC?). I used it several times from PC, but I wonder if Fabrice didn't have problems with CDs. It's really impressive loading a program in a few second...

Hmmmm... 16K for the code + 7 other banks of 16K is 128K. Porting could take a while. That can be done using a floppy drive for banks. Nintendo did this using the Famicom Disk System. But the major problem will be the graphics parts (I don't even speak about the audio part) The Oric can only use so...
