Which games are sufficiently original and oric-unique and would be worth converting/updating ? Ooops, I read that too quickly and kept in mind "oric classics" when I gave my answer ! So my list could be shortened to: Zebbie The Hellion (thought it's just another shoot-them-up game, it has loads of ...

Well, this is already achieved using the hardware tape (F1) and a WAV file, isn't it?

Hi ! Thanks Chema for the 1.0 ! The new screens in the intro are quite good ! I took a quick look at the French version and saw 2 things on the game main screen, before the game starts: - "drop" is translated by "baisse", which is wrong, should be "poser" - "ESC to play" was replaced by "ESC pour jo...

Quick reply from RTC connection (how slow ;)) Does this method allow to check parity errors during the reading ? If not, I'll keep improving the PC tools :) Really, I don't know, but at least it permits to take benefit of the oric hardware in order to read the audio signal when it is "not nice". So...

Actually, about 10 years ago Philippe Montegnie made an Oric drawing program for DOS, in Pascal, called Editoric. I have no idea if Philippe is still around... Running with a real Oric was what I thought once, this could be done with a tape audio connection between PC and Oric (as long as you're not...

Hi Chema, Thanks a lot for the release :) Forgive the late reply, 2007 ended with sad news from my family and I didn't have much time to reply. Anyway, the game has been demoed yesterday at the CEO meeting, see the first pictures here: http://forum.wda-fr.org/viewtopic.php?p=7119 Sadly we didn't hav...

I can't wait :P I deliberately avoided downloading too many beta-versions, to avoid being spoiled, but as long as it works on Euphoric and the only remaining problems are technical ones for real Orics, I vote for a final-beta-release ;) As Dbug said, as long as a version number allows to identify it...

 this looks like a wonderful tool !
Finally, I can drop the poor old Oric Disk Manager ;-)

I don't think I have info on the disk structure you're looking for, but I'll dig the manuals I have.

Waskol, that's all good news :) Symoon, when you say patching, I understand that you need to edit and modify the file ??? Yes but don't worry for that, I'm using a hex editor :). Like this sample : 1 REM MACHINE CODE DATA 10 DATA #20,#33,#EC:REM JSR $EC33 20 DATA #A9,#00 :REM LDA #00 30 DATA #A2,#07...

For the second question, just tell me if I understood, is $FA a negative number that equals to -7 ? i.e. a kind of jump to a relative address ? Yes, it means "go back 7 bytes before". This value includes the bytes of instruction itself, ie you have to start counting backwards the amount of bytes fr...

This looks like a very nice tool :) Thanks ! Would it be possible to have the op-codes values between the address and the mnemonic, just like in the line I pasted on a previous post ? This is important to me because: 1- I'm rather patching existing programs than coding , which means I have to be abl...

You will find Sadasm here: http://mercenarysite.free.fr/oric/sadasm1b.zip It requires a file that beging with 2 bytes holding the start address, then the data. I wouldn't mind if there was an option to read from TAP files :p Here's what Fbrice told about it: au fait, change de désassembleur... il dé...
