Nice one !
That would be nice to have an option to have "standard sizes" for the window resizing, respecting Oric's 240*224 pixels, or the double, and so on. A kind of resizing step !

Maybe what I'm saying is stupid as I never really thought about such problems but... Isn't the main ship & its laser (when shooting) the only items that require collision detection ? Then you'd "just" have to test if any pixel comes next to these items, then there's a collision. Oh, but the ship wou...

Except "Dangereusement vôtre", which was the French translation of "a view to a kill", I don't think so. Especially not official ones, I mean. There are a few "spy" (adventure) games with "agent 013" or other similar things, close to James Bond's style, just like many games used Star Wars things... ...

Hi, The CEO means Club Europe Oric ;-) Jean is the president. About the game itself, here are the notes I wrote when I transfered the game to PC: A View To A Kill from Domark (1985?), programming by Severn Software. Authors and translators unknown. There is a French version called Dangeureusement Vô...

Re: Tap2Wav bug

I've been working on Fabrice's tape transfer tools this summer, and this bug was on my list :) I corrected it but I'm waiting for Fabrice to be sure he's OK for a new set of Tape utilites (and I also still have a few things to finish, and I have absolutely no time for this at the moment sadly). Here...

I guess it all depends on what you want to scan for: screen reading or paper printing. I've always been scanning magazines at 300dpi, monochrom (also called "2 colors" - ie black&white). Also, I always use a black paper that I insert behind the page being scanned. This avoids seeing the text printed...

By the way, what could be very handy, is a kind of interface (a communication board) between the Oric (expansion port and/or printer port) and the PC (USB (requires drivers) ? parallel or serial port (obsolete) ?), in order to use the PC as a "super" expansion device for the Oric. Actually I've bee...

But are thre any device able to convert the oric RGB signal into a VGA or a color composite one ? I thinnk about those things called "VGA boxes", or I think I have seen something like that for arcade machines. I need: - A reliable disk drive and power suppy unit which will not fail randomly - An easier/reliable way to communicate between the Oric and the PC, because writting 3" floppies from my pc is so not reliable and painful to do. - A way to output the picture of my oric on recent TVs, or video proje...

- A way to output the picture of my oric on recent TVs, or video projectors when I'm going to demo parties Haha, At Segré I met a huge success with a LCD TV (The Oric was plugged on the scart) !!! (99€ on pixmania) Hehe that's a solution I thought about years ago, but it was rather rare then, and m...

Someone scanned it a few years ago but we never saw the result: he wanted Fabrice Broche's agreement to make it public. Since then we lost contact with this person. Yes l'Oric à Nu is the French "bible" with ROM disassembly, lots of comments and details. We recently discovered a few small mist...
