Roger that. In penance, perhaps I should consider porting .. EDIT: I (Dbug) removed the previous messages regarding the Java runtime, no reason to pollute the author's tool forum since everybody have voiced their feelings. Thanks for your understanding (This is the second time in... 10 years, give o...

I can't say I have much love for PoP either, as a game, but the idea of having a conversion for Oric is interesting. It seems to me that the Wurdle demo was headed in that direction: having a similar kind of feel/vibe with rotoscoped animation and Twilighte-level cleverness with colour placement. Po...
Nice idea .. seems like it would be easiest to build a hash-table of all Oric .dsk/.tap files you can find, then bundle that into a database and include it in the app so that whenever the user adds .dsk/.tap files, their games are instantly recognised .. I may be wildly wrong here, but isn't the reference to '06bb' an indicator that there's a bad character in the sources? Can you post the main.s in a way that its content is preserved (attach as file rather than insert text) and maybe inspect it with a hex editor to see if there are dud chars in there?

This may not be of any use to the situation, but I recently ran into a few times with bas2tap that it produces corrupt output if the line numbers are too variant, or indeed big, and I solved the problem by using an online Basic-listing renumbering tool, which 'normalised' the line numbers throughout...
