Re: Oric Explorer v2.0 is up for adoption!!!

Is there likely to be a release of this some time soon .. I could really use it right now - unless someone knows some other way to extract a text file listing (to my Mac or Linux systems) from a .COM in a .DSK file? EDIT: n/m I'm an idiot and just rediscovered the "LLIST" trick, which suffices for m...

This statement: No branches, what is committed is supposed to be in a releasable state, which means eventual experimental features have to be committed with special switches, or #ifdef'ed out. .. and this statement: In any case: I'm not against bringing in changes, but that should be done step by st...

Re: Upgrade Time: Encounter

Hey DBug - because of your inspiring series, I've started an "Upgrade Time:" project of my own - I won't tell you what it is yet, but basically I've decided to follow in your footsteps - I've selected a nice BASIC program from the 80's that's inspired me, and I'm now going to add some advanced featu...

Re: JOric

I think Retro- computing is getting a bit of a following and its not really going away .. so putting an Oric emulator on any store, can only be a good thing imho. I think it'd be nice if someone would package it with recent releases (with author permissions of course) and promote it far and wide, in...

True. But its those multi-.tap files you can get tangled up in ..

Looking forward to hearing more of your progress with J'Oric!

Re: BomberZ.bas and bas2tap ..

Only samples/basic/labels/label_test.bas .. should probably just be removed from the repo as being non-sequitur.

Everything else is buildable..

Re: BomberZ.bas and bas2tap ..

I think the point is, do we want all this or is it just a distraction? Because the other thing would be to just update the onboard samples so they actually do build, and move on from it...

Re: BomberZ.bas and bas2tap ..

Are the Delphi sources around? I'd be willing to try to port it to something a bit more portable, or even try a FreePascal port that might even work .. or else, knowing the specs, add the feature to bas2tap?

BomberZ.bas and bas2tap ..

Hi .. in the process of getting a bit more familiar with the OSDK 1.11, I spent some time going through the samples this morning and trying to build everything .. And I encountered the project at osdk_1_11/sample/basic/game/BomberZ.bas, which is a very different BASIC variant than I would expect .. ...

Delta 4 : Andy Greens portrait ...

Anyone got any ideas how Andy Green put his selfie into the game of Delta 4 - maybe he used some known techniques at the time to scan a photo, or something? Was just playing this game for a bit of fun and realized thats quite an advanced technique for the time ..
