Re: OType

I believe the O-type project started off as SWIV, and when Twilighte renamed it, he nevertheless didn't change his repo .. so the code is in the miniserve SVN, under "/users/twilighte/Swiv" ..

Re: TIMETRON2019 exhibit at Subotron Hub, MQ Vienna Austria

Totally .. For the 8-bit systems I will have a collection of the 'top 10' games of the 80's era, and then I'll have 'everything that was written for it in the 21st Century' as well .. on USB sticks (SD card for the Cumulus), so it'll be easy to check everything out and load things up. The exhibit go...

TIMETRON2019 exhibit at Subotron Hub, MQ Vienna Austria

Hi guys, Just wanted to let you know that next week, April 24th, I will open my TIMETRON2019 exhibit at the Subotron Hub in the Museums Quartier, here in Vienna Austria. https://subotron.com/7635-timetron-2019/ TIMETRON2019 is an interactive retro-computing exhibit scheduled to run through until Dec...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

This is amazing. With every bold step you take, I eye my stack of Oric's and wonder what it would be like to follow your path .. ;)

(Perhaps, though, you getting Exos up will lead to an Oric Next type situation...)

Hmm. Seems like one way a newbie could help contribute to the OSDK is to set up some automated tests that run on the target platforms ...

Re: Cumulus with Wifi/SD Card?

I've done a lot of work with the ESP8266 (see http://magicshifter.net/) and know its quirks quite well - the difficult part is in adding the required circuitry to an Oric to make comms with the ESP8266 efficient and stable...

Re: Cumulus with Wifi/SD Card?

I'm about to invest in a few Wifi adapters for use in my collection - going to start with the CPC6128 since it'll do CP/M and give me a .. relatively .. interesting telnet terminal to use. Then I'll add one to a ZX Spectrum, a few other things .. and if we get it worked out, eventually, Oric. But ma...

Re: How good (or bad) my English knowledge is? - NonRelated question

B- -- "how good (or bad) my English language simply is?" - Don't, ever, end a sentence on 'is'. Refactor until you get this right, it'll make your English presentation shine. If it is a question you're asking, start the question with "Is". Thus, "Is my English simply good or bad?", or better: "Do I...

>(I wonder if that could be ported to the Oric/other-8-bitters? Probably.)

I think Orix has a bit more potential: http://orix.oric.org

Re: At last a smooth(ish) - pseudo hires horizontal scroll

>Interestingly,, if I add a delay in each cycle it actually looks smoother. This is kinda to be expected, seems the engine might need to sync the char-redef on scroll-lag intervals .. and anyway, adjusting this lock-step works in your favour, since not every use of such an engine would require bat-o...

Re: At last a smooth(ish) - pseudo hires horizontal scroll

Its very interesting .. is it glitching for known reasons, though? Because I see a lot of flicker - perhaps this is just a timing issue - i.e. you're updating as fast as possible?
