Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

I know what you are saying Dbug and you are right, however this is not a commercial product and I originally started it for my own pleasure and convenience then decided to share it. I presumed anyone downloading it would be familiar with the Gamebase software and know how to install it. Still, doesn...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

Nice! Dave, you're saying that because you spend a lot of time (and money?) on this new version and, as often in the Oric world, there isn't that much feedback... But I'm sure you'll be back to it some day, you and I can't resist for long to an unknown tape  [/b] Yes, that's true! It's not...

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

This will be the last version of Gamebase Oric as I no longer have the enthusiasm to continue with the project. It seems only myself and a few others have any interest in it, unlike other Gamebases such as the C64 version. I need to thank the people who helped me with this project; Symoon, Didier, D...

Just discovered dropbox, hopefully it's better than 4shared.

It's a good job I have fibre broadband now. It used to take 5-6 hours to upload a Gamebase, now it takes 10 minutes!!

Re: Gamebase Oric V3.0

I've just had somebody over on the Gamebase 64 website say pretty much the same thing which baffles me. I've never had an issue with the "4shared.com" site before and others seem to be able to use it ok. I will gladly upload the file to another site if you can recommend a suitable one to me.

Re: Euphoric not recognising roms in DosBox after fresh inst

Problem solved!! I just found the answer over on forums.orig.org.

I just set the .ini file to point to c:basic10.rom without the euphoric\ before it and it works perfectly. My sanity is saved (for now... ).

Re: Euphoric not recognising roms in DosBox after fresh inst

I suspect you may be onto something there Symoon, however I can't remember how I set it up before. DosBox starts in Z:\ directory but my Euphoric folder is in the root C:\ directory. Before the re-install this is how I got it to work:- Z:\> mount c c:\euphoric Z:\> c: C:\> euphoric -1 gamename This ...

Euphoric not recognising roms in DosBox after fresh install.

Hi, I desperately need some help here! I use Euphoric via DosBox on my Windows 7 64bit computer to take screenshots of games for my Gamebase (sadly no option exists in Oricutron). I recently had my hard-drive crash and have had to install a new one. Everything was backed up and is now re-installed, ...

Re: Old tapes found 2 (I'm back !)

What a wonderful surprise! I knew you were transfering more tapes but I had never imagined just how many, and so many new games for me to check out just like last time. Thanks, you're a star! :P

Re: Transferring Array files from tape to PC.

The main game files transfered just fine but converting the array 'WAVS' resulted in files that had zero bytes. I also tried using a piece of Oric software called 'Private Copy' but this also wouldn't read the array files. I'm sure they are error free, the Data sounded clean and the Atmos didn't rep...

Re: Transferring Array files from tape to PC.

It worked! Took less than a hour to do as well. Here we now have a 100% working TAP file for this game.

Re: Transferring Array files from tape to PC.

I've come up with a way for me to recreate the 12 missing files without the need to transfer WAV files. It's very long-winded and I must be insane but what I am doing is writing down the contents of the 12 arrays (via my Oric Atmos). They contain mainly numbers and shouldn't take too long to write d...

Re: Transferring Array files from tape to PC.

BTW Dave I suppose there is a standard basic program first on the side, right? If so you can sample the whole side, edit the silences between each part (leave a very small silence), it should decode the whole side in a raw into a TAP file. This is not recommended as it can generate some garbage byt...
