Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

Chema, you have done it again, this is a great game. And not only that, a great game that is unique to Oric. Watched Blake'7 back when it first aired, and now, after playing this, I am going to binge watch all 4 seasons again. After Space 1999, and this, what's next? Sapphire and Steel? Survivors? I...

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

After finally getting Oricutron running, I got a first proper look at Blakes 7.
Looks amazing... well done to Chema for producing this. Not played too much of it, yet, but it is definitely a game I would have thought beyond the capability of the humble Oric.

Re: Oricutron and Mac Sierra and High Sierra

Thanks for the assistance guys. I ended up rebuilding from source. I found I did have to remove the reference to the pch file though.
But it all works now.

Oricutron and Mac Sierra and High Sierra

Does anyone know of an issue that prevents Oricutron from running on the afore mentioned operating systems.

Since I upgraded to Sierra (was that a year ago?) I haven't managed to run Oricutron. I recently upgraded to High Sierra and it's still not able to load the emulator. Anyone else found this?

Re: Not another boulder dash clone!

Just had a quick play... very nice.

I was a huge Boulderdash fan back in the day (on my Atari 800XL).
I like the fact that you have gone away from the blocky graphics of the Atari to produce this.

Very polished. Well done.

Free Usborne books

While I know that most of these are not directly targeted at Oric users, I thought people might still be interested in these for nostalgic reasons. Usborne's computer programming books from the 1980's are now FREE to download. http://www.usborne.com/catalogue/feature-page/computer-and-coding-books.a...

Very impressive.
I'm constantly amazed at what people are squeezing out of the 8-bits today.

A very sad day indeed.

I didn't know Twilighte personally, but I do know he touched a lot of peoples live. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Superbly done.
I remember finishing Zorgon's just once back in the day, but it took me quite a bit longer than 6 and half minutes.

Top 10 Oric moments...

After seeing a similar thread on AtariAge, and as it is the Oric's 30th year, I thought I would ask the same question here. What are your top ten Oric related moments? I'll start with mine: 1 - Seeing the Oric-1 demo tape for the first time. Up until then, my benchmark for computer demos was the Spe...

I haven't seen a copy of AUG anywhere for ages. I guess everyone who has a copy is holding onto them like the holy grail.

Re: Simple multiplication

Thanks for the answers guys, plus the tip of using tables for screen coordinates, I can see how that could save a massive number of clock cycles.
