Re: Oric Atmos PSU Specs

I run my Oric-1 and Atmos on a 7.5V (as opposed to 9V) 1A power supply. No issues at all. Right or wrong, I read some time ago that 7.5V runs cooler and that's how I've been doing it ever since.

Re: Replacement rubber "feet"

Well just to close the loop on this important and pressing issue (lol) ... I made an interesting discovery today. The rubber feet on my Commodore 64 is an exact match (both in size and colour) for the Oric Atmos rubber feet! To the point where I'm convinced they came from the same manufacturer. Sinc...

Good luck!!
Thanks! It just occurred to me that I can probably 3D print these! This seems to be as good a reason as any to see how my printer does with flexible filaments

Re: Replacement rubber "feet"

So a rough measurement of the feet shows the pads are about 11-12 mm in diameter so these are probably a better fit: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Protective-Furniture-Adhesive-11mmx4mm-Nonslip-Rubber-Foot-Pads-LW-/181785592723?hash=item2a53440393:g:Ch0AAOSwf-VWT7ws They also look a LOT like the pads for s...

Those look very close, thank you. No idea why I never saw them but I think I'll order a few of them too.

I don't think if that's the original ones, but I'll post anyway: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/4x-Atmos-ORIC-New-Rubber-Foot-Pad-and-Nonslip-/232318667567?hash=item3617458b2f:g:tEMAAOSwhvFZBi83 Now, did your post bring this new announce on Ebay, or did this one remind you that you were looking for the ori...

Replacement rubber "feet"

Silly question of the day ... does anyone know where I can get replacement rubber feet for the Oric? I have an Oric Atmos that's in great shape except it's missing 2 rubber feet and it's really bugging me  I've been looking online but haven't found anything of the exact same shape/size. I suppo...

Re: Oric 1 display in North America

I thought it would be a lot simpler too but alas it was not to be. I bought a powered DIN-5 RGB to SCART cable and a SCART to HDMI converter so hopefully that configuration works. In hindsight it would probably have been easier (and maybe even cheaper) to just buy a small used PAL LCD television set...

Re: Oric 1 display in North America

It has a lot of RCA inputs but they're either for composite video (the yellow, red and white set, or "AV" inputs as we call it here in Canada) or component video (aka YPbPr). None of the RCA inputs accept an RGB signal as far as I'm aware.

Re: Latest version of Tap2Wav?

I think I tried TapTool but it only has Tap2CD in it at the moment right? Maybe I missed something. I did try Tap2CD last night but unfortunately .tap files converted through Tap2CD didn't work for me. They would start to load but then just stop. The files converted through Tap2Wav worked very relia...

I will definitely post a follow-up. I've learned a lot from the forum so it will be nice to give back!

Items have been ordered ... now for the looooong wait for everything to arrive from China :D

Re: Which EEPROM chip should I get to burn a new ROM?

Thanks for that information! I will be sure to concatenate the image. I have a single ROM chip. Here's some picture I took of the motherboard:

Re: Latest version of Tap2Wav?

Strange, it's supposed to be a cleanly recompiled version with Visual Studio, should have been running fine. Need to double check that. Thanks Dbug, everything else I tried in the OSDK ran fine on my 64bit Windows 10 system without any compatibility issues and without any need to run them in compat...

Re: Latest version of Tap2Wav?

Just to confirm in case some other poor soul with a 32 or 64 bit Windows OS comes along and want to load some software into his "real" Oric ...the version of Tap2Wav here is the one you want. The version in the OSDK v1.10 and the one here won't work. I just manged to convert a .tap file to...
