hello, latest testing with hxc floppy emulator when I get insert system disk and the emulator file is selected (oric dos 1.13.dsk) now I get " no operating system found" I notice that the track size is 80 and not 42 no sure if system disk should be 42 track or 80 track no sure how oric dos knows eit...

hello,

the twist cable is not standard pc cable

it is one I made and works with bbc micro / master and floppy emulator

hello the twist is needed when you want to use pc 3.5" disk drives and you intend to use two drives I have both types of cable for testing straight and with a twist I also just got a Cumana pcb populated waiting for 74ls logic chips on order will let you know the results using oric rom and Cumana ro...

hello,

I now have a cumulus which works ok with my 2 atmos computers

my question is has anybody modified the firmware to improve the menu navigation ?

there is no manual and I only found a pdf showing the menu images

Tested this setup on my Atmos (yes I have an Oric1 and a Atmos now)

Works ok as well as tap2cd

Yes very good

But leaves very little time to do any thing else

38600 baud is 26.041uS bit time (transfer rate of 3.86k bytes/s, one start bit one stop bit and 8 data bits)

IMhz bus = 1us tick time, that gives you 26 ticks before you have to send or receive another bit
