Re: Noisy Atmos
It's from the Atmos itself, hard to say from exactly where.

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thre
Really excited about getting one of these now it seems the final issues have been resolved, great work everybody involved, it's much appreciated :) Is it the kind of setup that would allow some menu software running on the Oric which allows "automatic" loading of a DSK image? I'm imagining...

Re: Dead Keyboard
Also check the connector is correctly plugged: I've seen some atmos that had one more pin hole in the keyboard connector, and when connecting it shifted by one pin it would look like ok but the keyboard would not work :) I somehow missed this reply the first time sorry - this was exactly the proble...

Re: Noisy Atmos
So it's not the PSU because I dug out my other "broken keyboard" (see other thread ) Atmos and it doesn't make the same noise with the same PSU. So any hints on what I might need to repair or replace on the board of the noisy one still much appreciated.

Re: Atmos Keyboard Problems
Ok, embarrassment time - I "fixed" the first problem by connecting the keyboard to the main board properly, bizarrely I'd not noticed that there are more holes in the connector than pins on the board, so I shifted across by one and I have a fully working keyboard

Atmos Keyboard Problems
Hi all, I have a couple of issues, one on each of my Atmos's: 1. First keyboard doesn't work at all - it's actually not the keyboard itself though, but whatever controls it on the main board - because I switched the keyboards around and both work, but only with one of the main boards. Is there a par...

Noisy Atmos
Hi all, my Atmos works fine, but makes both a high frequency whine (which I can't hear but the kids can and it drives them mad!), and a whirry-buzzy (!) sound which I can hear. Do they "all do that" or is this something I can fix please?

Re: New Microdisc controller available
As an Oric newcomer could you clarify exactly what this offers for a standard Atmos please? Am I able to use it in conjunction with an HxC floppy emulator (which I already have) in order to load and save floppy images to/from an SD card? Or do I need some additional disc controller for the Atmos its...

Re: Atmos Power Supply Needed
You can't plug it in but you can make enough contact to kill the machine

Re: Atmos Power Supply Needed
FWIW I can confirm the generic PSU I linked above does work (and with an RGB SCART cable as well). I set it to positive 9V mode and crossed my fingers, and all was good

Dead Keyboard
Hi all, I've just bought an Atmos ("sold as seen"!) and although it powers up and displays fine, the keyboard does nothing. I've opened the machine up and checked for poor connections and any other obvious problems, but no joy. Do the experts here have any idea how I could fix it please? O...
