Re: Oricutron feature request: external debugger support.

This is indeed nice and I must say it's a great job. But I'm afraid it is not very useful... almost every game will not only change the irq vector, but may have a tight timing, disable them or have little memory left. Any debug feature should be added to the emulator itself, so memory could be inspe...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

mmmm... still the bug with saving and loading of data statements (STORE/RECALL) is unsolved, I think. Not sure about Telestrat emulation in the official binary version.

And some of the latest additions (some of which, as Dbug said, are very interesting) are not in, either.

Re: List for Microdisc controller + Amplibus, LAST BATCH.

Controllers from the previous batch are being built (last update from end of October) viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1306

When that one is finished this one will begin. Silicebit builds them by hand in his free time, so patience is needed :)

Re: Filepack support request

Never seen it, but looking at the sources, it seems that the file could not be compressed to a size less than the original.

The compression algorithm is quite simple, so this might occur.

Re: ROM 1.0 / 1.1 compatible programming trick?

I am sure Fabrice has dumps of most ROMs... in fact he sent me (us?) once a file with the checksum value of all the roms... I have it here: CRC32 Identification Roms 256 octets: 0C82F636 Eprom pour controleur disquette Pravetz 8D Roms 2 Ko: 37220E89 Eprom Jasmin ACB2DD34 Eprom contrôleur Cumana 1 Ro...

Re: C/ASM profiling tools?

It is a pity that nobody jumped into the expansion I proposed to Oricutron. My idea was adding support for external tools, at least, receive commands and send data back to an external application (using a socket or any other method). I suggested this to the author of a spectrum emulator and the resu...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

What if one Oric outputs just black&white pictures, while the other combine just attributes to generate colors? Certainly it would not make constraints disappear, but no more attributes using picture space and probably more shades. In any case I find that difficult to use in dynamic graphics. But cr...

Re: Gotek USB floppy emulator

That is why there are some systems which offer a custom loader program with a menu of the USB contents and a way to navigate.

Anyway the OLED solution is much more elegant and general. That is why I suggested it.

Re: Textmode Sideways Scroller

Nice program, for a text mode scroller I am surprised at how tolerable the 6 pixels scrolling step seems to be. Yeah, text mode scroll is not that bad. I took that path in Oricium. But let's be honest, 6 pixel scrolling will always look a little bumpy. Maybe using dynamic character redefinition and...
