I gave it a try long ago. The tools are fantastic, but oriented to Twilighte's own project. And it runs directly on the Oric, so a lot of steps to adapt for your own projects.

If I remember correctly the tricky part was indeed getting a smooth vertical scroll of the play area (that is why it is relatively small). Good post Dbug! Well explained indeed. Some games made some color graphics using attributes, so you ended up with 6 pixels of the same colour, making it a bit crude and impossible to place with pixel precision. Some games hid this drawback better than others. When attributes were hid in paper colour...

My knowledge about Sedoric is limited to launching a program, issuing a quit and then the ! Prefix, setting the INIST and (with a lot of effort) formatting disks :lol:

This kind of things I read about from time to time keep surprising me :shock:

Elite's version should do. In fact the thing is avoiding the real projection and just move stars faster when they are further from the center of the screen. Or something along that line.
