Re: CC65 to DSK

FloppyBuilder is intended for demos and specific games, such as my Blake's 7. It does not have a filesystem. I'd recommend using tap2dsk, as it builds a sedoric disk that can be opened, dir'd and copied with no problems. If you plan to access data I can provide some working routines and ideas, which...

Re: A new well-known compiler

That would be great indeed! However, if I remember correctly, the compiler generates fat code mainly because the backend is designed for 16-bit systems (I mean, it is using the standard 16-bit integer size), so it does not optimize things such as small numbers (8-bit), counters and loops. Besides, a...

Well done! Waiting for the Oric version with anticipation.

Congrats!

Re: re microdisc floppy controller board

Mmmmm... the Microdisc interface follows the Shuggart standard. A flat cable is needed (no twist or modification), just remember to use a floppy which can be set as DS0. You obviously need a bootable disk. If you cannot make one (you need a win98 box with an internal -no USB- floppy drive). If you c...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

Ok, but please, please... don't destroy working Orics . I bet the community will regret that in the mid-term. This experiment is amazing and I am following it with a lot of interest and anticipation, but it is nothing more than an experiment. Many people like to enjoy their retro machines as they we...

Can you attach the basic or dsk image? I can have a look.. seems to be an illegal instruction.

Re: Competition CEO: New Year 2019

I'd have loved to, but unfortunately I have no free time lately, and I wouldn't meet the deadline

I need to find a way to make room in my agenda for starting a new project. I really have to.

Re: Oricutron Keyboard mapping question.

I am quite sure that there is a way to perform the keyboard mapping, but as I usually prefer to have the original Oric keyboard layout, I have never used it.

I usually play on the Oric not type. Sorry.

Re: Oricutron feature request: external debugger support.

This is indeed nice and I must say it's a great job. But I'm afraid it is not very useful... almost every game will not only change the irq vector, but may have a tight timing, disable them or have little memory left. Any debug feature should be added to the emulator itself, so memory could be inspe...

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

mmmm... still the bug with saving and loading of data statements (STORE/RECALL) is unsolved, I think. Not sure about Telestrat emulation in the official binary version.

And some of the latest additions (some of which, as Dbug said, are very interesting) are not in, either.

Re: List for Microdisc controller + Amplibus, LAST BATCH.

Controllers from the previous batch are being built (last update from end of October) viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1306

When that one is finished this one will begin. Silicebit builds them by hand in his free time, so patience is needed :)

Re: Filepack support request

Never seen it, but looking at the sources, it seems that the file could not be compressed to a size less than the original.

The compression algorithm is quite simple, so this might occur.

I am sure Fabrice has dumps of most ROMs... in fact he sent me (us?) once a file with the checksum value of all the roms...
