Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

Hi ThomH! I'm glad to read you have tested my game. This CRC bug is something related to FloppyBuilder, so ir is Dbug who should fix it  I am currently workin on a new release with improved disk management and Jasmin support, so it could be built with a new version of FloppyBuilder which corre...

Re: Merging video output?

You are completely mad! But this looks very interesting...

I have nothing to suggest, unfortunately, but will wait for any advance with a lot of anticipation!

Re: Universal tracker

Hi Targhan! Thanks for popping up here and for your fantastic tracker. I once had a look a Vortex too, as Dbug did, but never continued with the project. These trackers (yours looks incredible!) produce really good music, but I always found impossible to spend >10 K for the music and player only, an...

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

I replayed version 1.1 directly from the episode 1 beginning until the end of episode three with the same or even more pleasure. No bug to report. I will also play a third time, in order to write down, for posterity, all the actions that must be done, when and where they must be done to win. Thus, ...

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

Jede, unfortunately, does not have his unit operative :( In any case the routines are now working for saving and loading with correct error checking (I pulled the disk out while writing , and back in and it saved the game properly  and worked for Microdisc (my unit with real FDD) and Jasmin...

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

Thanks Dom! And congratulations for finishing the game !

@jede...that is a beta version you are showing. It does not display the version number and 'loading game data' message, and somewhat the continue from saved game is not working...

Could you try the final 1.1 version?

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

Alright, the game now works (tested only under emulation) with both Microdisc and Jasmin :D It boots, works, saves and loads on both systems. I still need to test it with real drives and floppies, as well as with Cumulus, because several routines had to be rewritten. Current code is in the repositor...

Re: FloppyBuilder evolution

Hi all! With the enormous help of Fabrice Frances (he is doing the work, really) I am not only improving the disk routines in FloppyBuilder ()and therefore, in Blake's 7) a lot, but also started working on supporting the Jasmin. The new routines in Microdisc are so robust that you can pull out the d...

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

Patience, Dom. And if you need any help, just drop me a pm :) About the protection thing... I am not sure what you mean. The dsk seems to be unprotected for cumulus, as it does not show the P at one side (that status is changed using one of the buttons at the right, I think the on in the middle). So...

Re: Label and layout

Ah, ok. Sorry I misunderstood.

Just measured one: height is something such as 104 mm, and width 84mm, with a spine of aprox 6mm in width, and the short side that comes after the spine is around 16mm, leaving aprox 67mm for the back side.

Not sure if I made myself understandable

Re: Label and layout

My 3" label for Blake's 7 was made by hand on Publisher, and is 70x70mm and with a spine of 5mm

For 3.5 disks there are templates available (Avery templates are quite famous) and they can be installed on Publisher directly through the template configuration options.

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

@iss nice configuration! Which is that Micdorisc clone? And the floppy emulator... is it an HxC or a Gotek with an alternate firmware?

@star42, thanks. About the French version, it is only a matter of finding someone to translate that huge amount of text :)
