Tools for extracting sprites etc from Oric games

Hi, I'd like to try my hand at recreating some of the classic Oric games of yesteryear and in order to keep them as true as possible, thought it would be great to be able to rip the sprites used in the games and reuse them (same applies for music, text etc - basically anything that can just be reuse...

I can use some zip I found but I'm not sure it's the latest, would be best to have it in.
Yeah, sorry about that - I've been snowed under with my new job. I'll get things going over the weekend

Eeeee, I remember when we had a library at the top of the road and could buy a saveaway ticket without having to go into St Helens! I'm definat...

Euphoric on sf.net is go and an update or 3

I'm in the process of building the statutory couple of crap pages for Euphoric on sourceforge. However, I have set up the mailing lists http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=175901 The lists are... user : everyone tester : those who use the test and/or stable release developer : those who code While...

Maybe you can interface a Commodore disk drive to Oric? The 1541 et.al use different amount of sectors depending on track. I've recently read that there were some Z80 systems which interfaced with a 1541, and the Oric probably shares more chips in common with a CBM than most home built Z80 systems....

Euphoric sources?

I seem to have mistaken the xeuphoric sources for the euphoric 0.99b ones and worse than that, I cannot locate the sources - only the binaries.

Does anyone know where I can find the sources with any platform specific patches (as source)?

Not to worry mate.

I see from your profile you're in St Helens - where abouts are you? I'm in Haydock (and from your handle, I'd imagine you're pretty damned close!)

Euphoric - 0.19

Just a quicky to report on how things are going... First, I've a relatively sane build system for euphoric which works well under Linux and cygwin. http://www.all-the-johnsons.co.uk/oric/euphoric-0.19.zip This is essentially just the 0.18.2 release with some changes (charset.S is now in C and I've a...

That's sure a good news, because else I could not develop Oric stuff anymore :)
I've PM'd Fabrice about moving things to sourceforge and await his reply.

Then it's probably fine to add a documentation file pointing out about where to find roms, and have roms available elsewhere ? That's how I got fuse-emulator in as a package. However, given that all the companies involved with the Oric have gone (except for British Motors who deny all knowledge of ...

Euphoric - the next steps

As I've said on the general board, I'm happy to start developing on from Fabrice's excellent euphoric package. I'd also like to make this more of a community effort. To that end, I'm thinking of putting euphoric up on sourceforge. In order of importance this is how I'd like to do things 1. Remove al...

xeuphoric has been put forward for Fedora Core Extras

Just a quicky to say that I've packaged xeuphoric for Fedora Core Extras and am now putting it through the approval procedure. It normally doesn't take long, but they will probably complain over the ROMs (they did when I submitted the Z80 fuse emulator). As for developments - go to the emulator sect...
