Re: Oric Games Trade

Yeah, I'm willing to pay. What's the Lost in Space situation? Did you get one from Baz? I have one to swap if needed but can't find the other title. From Baz I got Oric CAD with the manual (which is in better condition than the one I got earlier). If you Lost in Space is in decent condition, it's d...

Re: Oriclopedia: Tansoft

I've shown all the manuals I have (for Tansoft programs).

1043 titles is not bad at all :)
Does that include unique games, or also French versions of Tansoft programs and Spanish releases of Loriciels games?

Oriclopedia: Tansoft

I started a new series of videos to educate people about the Oric, this first one is about Tansoft.

Re: Oric 1 with messy video problem

Generally speaking, the antenna/aerial output only works (unmodified) with British TVs. The recommended way to get a good picture with the right colors is to use the RGB output connector. If you have something like a Commodore Amiga monitor, you can just do a pin to pin connection and it will work, ...

Re: cataloguing tapes

I notice that for 9700, the corresponding value is A59C, so I guess they go in pairs? 9700 would have A5, 9701 has 9C? And I take it none of the addresses in the block get missed out? Not necessarily in pairs, in the 6502 instructions can occupy one, two or three bytes. In this case, A5 9C maps to ...

Re: New conversion algorithm

Regarding the OSDK, the official version is actually on my SVN depot, the neko version is a fork where he is doing tests (he works on mac). I'm going to let you all play with the lua version, and when you are happy, we can convert it to C or C++ and add it as a new method for pictconv, with whatever...

Re: Oric Games Trade

I updated the top post by removing the software which were gone (and adding a couple on my wish list, as well as some non Oric games I have to swap as well): - I received today's Oric CAD from Baz (with the manual) and he should have received my two flipper games - Packaged swapped with Symoon's are...

Re: New conversion algorithm

Nice work, what I'm wondering though is why out of all the possible names in the galaxy, did the two persons who came up with decent conversion algorithm for the Oric have to be named *sam*! In PictConv I've this: -f6 => Sam method (Img2Oric) so if I wanted to integrate this new Algorithm I would ha...

Re: OSDK 1.15

The only sizable C programs are the ones you people are writing. (My own programs only use C for the skeleton code, all the rest is in assembler) The C compiler and the macros are mostly Fabrice work, not much I'm doing except building my windows version for the OSDK. That being said, with what was ...

Re: cataloguing tapes

There definitely was a software doing that, it's what I used to print these lists in

I believe it was a type-in program from the magazine Theoric.

ON/OFF switch

[EDIT: moved the original topic to the hardware category and merged my question] Hi, does anyone knows the actual name of the oric power connector? I'm trying to find an easier way to switch it on and off than plugging and unplugging the cable all the time, and I was wondering if this thing was act...

OSDK 1.15

This version 1.15 is a really minor version update which is somewhat more of a regression than progress. Basically some of the C Compiler upgrades have been removed because they were causing code generation issues (thanks to Retroric and Goyo for the testing), Fabrice is informed and may provide som...

Re: Oricutron disks and tapes

I've been using the SAVE/LOAD snapshot with some games which were too hard to use with the load/save feature, but that was with Euphoric, worked very well at the time, I don't see why that would not work well with Oricutron indeed :) The main problem I had was that only one snapshot was supported, s...

Re: PC-style audio output socket

Technically, the audio output is already available on some of the pints of the TAPE DIN connector on the back :)
The only missing thing is that this does not disconnect the internal speaker.
