Re: Cumulus Issues
Hello, I'm unhappy to say that my Cumulus had stop working. It was used only 2-3 times for about 4-5 minutes since buying it, but now when I tried to start and it is absolutely dead. Is there any support for these devices? does the screen backlight turn on when you power it up? Have you tried to re...

Re: Cumulus Issues
My PSU is giving 12 V and over 12 VA, not 9 V. it runs Oric and microdisc drive at the same time well. But as you know Cumulus doesn't work.. so your powersupply only have 1A at 12V? And the VA is on the inputside of the supply, right? So you have not 1A output maybe only 60-80% of 1A at the output...

I printed about 10-15 cases that don't look good and so i descided it's time to buy a new Hotend and Heatbed for better p...

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread
Will it work with Pravetz-8D? Now I need some help to try to fix my Cumulus - what is the purpose of the two connectors inside Cumulus box? If there is UART or RS232 (or JTAG) I need pin description - just to see if there's some response... Oh... sounds not good. But you can try to flash a new boot...

Voltage is the same in UK but the plug is different.
My powersupply has the "Europlug (Type C)" and takes 100-240V as input. Only the UK has a diffenrent plug in europe.
but the seller from the ebaylink is really cheap!

[ Metadata: What device do you use to program the E(E)PROM? it is parallel based or USB based? ] It's USB based. Genius G840. Nice and no that expensive, are you happy with it? it's okay. it is a lot better than my parallel one. The software for the parallel one only runs under windowsXP. The softw...

Re: Cumulus Issues
I've knocked the jumper off the little board that connects to the expansion port. Should it be over the two pins? I don't recall it being over them both. normal the pins are not connected. You can close the jumper and the jumper in the cumulus and then you have to use the black and the grey connect...

I worked on the case of the Cumulus a little bit. It now fits better and the PCB don't move any more.

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread
BTW, the screen on my cumulus flicker a bit, like if there were interference on a CRT screen, I am alone on this? this is normal. The lm2660 chip converts the 5V to 7V. Maybe there comes the flickering from. I've just received mine. Unfortunately I'm flat broke so testing (ie, buying a PSU) will ha...
