Re: Cumulus incompability solved, i think.

It may hide the problem for some people, or create new for other. Try and see but I can't promise that it will really fix for everyone. The real problem is in the CPLD, the code do a lot of things wrong, and we can't update the existing one in the field (nor I would recommend to be honest). [hr] Aft...

Re: Oric 1 display in North America

It is really time to have a proper Oric to VGA hardware, but my project todolist is already that big so don't expect it (from me) soon :/

Re: Clock problems

Phi2 have to be buffered, this is neither a TTL or a CMOS signal, but an unbuffered signal inside the 6502. By the way the original 6502 is using NMOS logic, which is neither CMOS not TTL and is in fact not completely compatible. I mean it compatible is or the Oric would not work at all, but the out...

Which would be useless as it would only work on theses cumuluses.

Re: How to install a 3" floppy drive on a modern pc?

Well that would be an interesting project to make a proper USB-FDC that can handle any type of floppy and no fancy expensive thing like the KryoFlux. You will be able to make copy of a floppy dumped using it but I highly doubt from a DSK. Why not using an Oric with a microdisc and an HxC ? You load ...

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

The EEPROM contain only the microdisk ROM and nothing else. (which is on a legal point a view quite problematic to be honest)

Re: Compatible transister ?

I don't have an oric by hand, which transistor is this one?

I mean where is it located?

Is it TR2? (keyboard related one)

I think it depends from where you 65C02 come from, the PIN differ a bit between manufacturer :/

Re: Transformer/ power supply

Then look again at the track. You will need a bridge rectifier for BOTH regulator, not just one, a 78xx need a DC input not an AC. And here the 7805 is directly fed by one side of the transformer which is AC voltage, that is absolutely not the way to do thing. So here is the schematic of the thing: ...

Re: Transformer/ power supply

Ok I don't have the thing in my hands so my intepretation maybe incorrect, it seems the transformer have two output, but what the heck are they feeding the 7805 with a non DC voltage? I will try to make a schematic from that power supply, but can't clearly see the track on the "bottom" side of your ...

Re: Transformer/ power supply

With your multimeter in Ohm mode, with the system unpluged from main (important) what is the resistance on the +5V rail? For a 7805 to not regulate correctly to 5V and drop that low that mean that either something draw a lot of current on the 5V rail (like a failed component) the other reason is tha...
