Re: gmail and defence-force emails

I have the same problem with my own domain name (using Gandi). Things got better when I used the Gandi mail server to send mails (rather than Free); I read that Google compares the mail server and the domain name from the email address. That being said it still happens that people get my emails in s...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

Else, I took quick look at the CSAVE routine and I think it's absolutely possible to make it F16-saver! What we have to consider is that we have to leave master's ROM unchanged because the microdisc's ROMDIS The problem here is that the sinusoid length is set in a part of code which would require t...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

Great demo ! Amazing new colors ;) @Symoon: Do you think it's possible to make F16 compatible CSAVE routine? This will speed up significantly the "networking". Mmmh, that's fun I was thinking yesterday on how to accelerate this. So far my tape signals are generated on PC, so I'm inexperienced on gen...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible

This is becoming very interesting even for non-hardware guys ;)
Getting rid (more or less ;) ) of attributes headache... and colours! Would red and yellow be orange or plain red?

Keep up the good work guys, real fun here ;)

Re: Oricutron for android (POC)

I haven't tried it yet, no idea when I can, but I'm sure I will at some point.
A big thanks, and to all those keeping emulators alive, for free, on their spare time, as well!

Re: The ZX-UNO project.

Apparently there are developments going on of Oric emulation (or whatever you call it) for ZX-Uno and Mist. That's great news, although apparently they just might be "proof of concept", and not finished. The limitation that always stopped me from buying is the connexion to some of the real hardware ...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

BTW: I do have Meurtre a Grande Vitesse, but none of the physical clues are in it :( Are they available somewhere for download so they can be printed out? Yep, most are here in the stuff section (you got to log in): https://www.oric.org/index.php?page=software&fille=detail&num_log=129 From memory, ...

Re: Modern Software Packaging

Just for historical information, Cobra Soft used VHS boxes, and had a multi-usage plastic "adapter"inside its latest versions. It can be used for tapes or 3.5" disks, and probably (I didn't check) 3" disks. The box was manufactured by "Vimeo" in France. That being said, such huge box is really annoy...

Re: VIA "networking"

At one point I thought about adding, during the system interrupt, a listen to the VIA to see if something happened on the tape port, and if so, then stop and wait for a short specific synchro code (like 3 of 4 bits). If matching, then a program is about to begin => CLOAD. If not, it was just noise, ...

Re: VIA "networking"

I guess the master machine could load from disk stuff which is already in the right "novalight" format to send, but then I guess that would be huge and not fit in memory! Yes, and it would also require a perfect 44kHz WAV player ;) Basically we could send or receive data to the Oric directly from t...

Re: VIA "networking"

Do you think it's possible to transfer from the master to all three slaves at the same time (for example for doing a parallel transfer of the common data) ? This could be easily done with the tape port (one Oric "saving", the others loading), but I'm not sure this is what you're looking for - stand...
