Re: Replic'Oric

I'd definitely be interested in one pcb (probably more, depending on the price).

As for a complete replica, perhaps (if the price was right).

How about a kit?

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread

Well I've tested a few other dsk images made with tap2dsk recently and they all work fine. I opened the ultima disk image with oric disk manager and it appears empty! So I tried to remake the dsk image from the ultima tap file and tap2dsk chokes. God knows what version I used way back when I origina...

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread

I've tested the first Cumulus. It's worked flawlessly with two Oric-1 (no serial numbers, one is grey label and the other is color) and two Atmos (s/n 223278 and 280530). I've used a Kingston 4GB SDHC class 4 card and a Minwa MW3R15GS power supply, rated 1500mA. I am using a SCART RGB powered cable ...

Re: Cumulus Preorder Thread

I've just received mine.

Unfortunately I'm flat broke so testing (ie, buying a PSU) will have to wait until the next paycheck! :(

Re: pravetz and sxc floppy emulator.

If I am not mistaken, Pravetz already has a disk controller, however that's Apple ][ compatible controller. So, is it possible to use hxc floppy emulator with Pravetz without having extra disk controller? Or something like this board is necessary? The HxC floppy emulator is not Apple compatible, so...

Do you know of one such suitable power supply that is available for purchase?

Hi not quite sure what you mean by powering up one by one ,the original psu feeds both so both need powering up from same psu at same time I cant find my microdisc at mo but had little success as yourself using seperate supplies before I got a proper psu .(15/9/0 volt as the regulators need a volta...

I think I have the answer: http://andre.cheramy.net/trucs/alimentationmicrodisc.pdf "Here is what is written on my Microdisc power supply: 9V DC @ 1,6 A and 12V DC @ 0,9 A. The 1,6A allows to power an Atmos plus two Microdisc units (a Master and a Slave), each equipment having its own regulator to e...

Well I know that the microdisc power supply also powers the computer, but I have no choice but to use the original oric power supply to power the computer. I make sure to power up the controller board first and then the computer. I haven't tried to power them up at the same time yet, I'll try it whe...

I didn't follow the pc standard blindly, I just read what's written on the floppy drive PCB. So unless it is the opposite than what written on the PCB I am ok...

Plus it is corroborated by the voltage regulator outputs, so I don't think the problem is the voltage.

Well I am no electrical engineer (far from it!) but this is how I understand it. Of the four pins of the din plug, one is not connected, another (black) is ground and there are two more, one orange and one blue. http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7744/img0072xn.jpg The blue wire connects to the the fi...
