Re: How to install a 3" floppy drive on a modern pc?

I tested OricDSK when it was released (2016 December). It seemed to work on my old laptop with real FDC and 3.5" floppy, but the produced disks were with many errors. Currently I'm using fdrawcmd.sys + SamDisk with DSK files converted to HFE and I'm very happy with the results. This combination work...

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

First, here is how I repaired my Cumulus 2 years ago - literally everything was burnt!

In the attached zip file are ALL needed binary files.
@Chema: I can't upload to SVN, but someone with write access can do it ;).

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

Congrats, great progress! :)
ROM content is the one which is used in emulators too and can be downloaded form here.
Compiling XC95144 code is bit tricky, if you have any problems I think we can solve them :).

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

Okay, for me the problem is in the fat32.c source (function 'uint8_t fat32_init(void)', line #97) ...... if (sectors_per_cluster < 16) return 0; ....... I see two easy and quick-to-do solutions: 1. Format the SD-card so it has less than 16 sectors per cluster 2. Dirty hack - just remove or comment a...

Re: Orix playing a video on real hardware

Cool animation! Take look here or here how Apple][ performs the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ trailer.
I wish to have it for Oric/Orix too ;).

Re: Cumulus Firware Compilation

Welcome zaxon!
Attached is my compiled version of the PIC firmware - it's for S1D15G10 display and it works fine for me.
BTW, there are many hardware bugs in Cumulus and I don't recommend to bother with it, but this is of course
only my very personal opinion...

Re: Sedoric warning "DOS is altered!"

The answer: http://oric.free.fr/DISKS/sedoric.html Two types of discs can be formatted - a 'Master', containing the full DOS, and a 'Slave' which can only be used when the DOS is already in memory. If the DOS is missing, the error message '**WARNING** DOS is altered!' is displayed, requiring the ins...

Re: Oric Atmos resets after a few seconds ... when not grounded

Hi ... When i checked the mainboard i noticed that there was some work on it before: ... Mmmm strange, an Atmos with two EPROMS, It will not work with your controller. BTW, I think there is good chance that this Atmos will work with the Silicebit's controller. In my opinion this is the reason for t...

Re: Oric Atmos resets after a few seconds ... when not grounded

Thanks, Symoon! This is very interesting rom. Main differences compared to 1.1 are: - version is 1.3 A - German characters - all error messages are lower case - no key clicks - print char and read key are used trough vectors in page 2 instead of ROM calls - different CSAVE/CLOAD routines rom13a.jpg ...

Re: T-Rex game for Oric

Attached is the auto vsync code together with some standard VIA related definitions. Maybe interesting will be the 'compat.h/compat.s' too, which main purpose is to make code compatible between CC65 and OSDK. The auto vsync code is exactly coded according ThomH's message and lot of optimizations can...

Will you release Oric source code ?
For compilation are used my own make-based build system, cc65 toolchain, some OSDK tools and some LUA scripts for sprite manipulation and generation. If there is interest I can post the source code.
