Re: Yet Another

Cool! ... and it works! :) Nice RGB and composite emulation. All my DSK images are running fine, but I found that original Blake's 7 (v1.1 - English) fails to boot, there is error after each sector was read: CRC error; terminating Maybe the problem is in the image (Chema?). One wish from me: I want ...

Re: If time=N then .. in DosBox for Android?

You have to use a temporary file to store the output string from the 'time /t' command, than load its content into a variable and then use the variable in IF expression. For more details take look HERE.

Re: Merging video output?

Yep, I missed that offsets are multiple of 83.3ns. Mike Brown's solutions is cool and I hope it will work.
... but having 2 equal ULA's is good idea too ;).

EDIT: Dbug, which signals are actually on the scope? (I thought it's 12MHz, but the shape reminds the famous F2)

Re: Merging video output?

Very interesting project! IMO the problem with synchronization comes from the bad edges of the signal on ULA pin 7 (CLK). Modification "63b" is supposed to solve this (and maybe it really helps) but in this case there is better solution. First remove both "63b" resistors and connect the IC22's unuse...

Re: Universal tracker

Very nice indeed! I tested Windows and Linux versions.
It supports many input formats and exports them perfectly to YM.
Attached TAP/DSK versions of the same song from youtube video for Oric, using ym2mym+mym_player (of course) ;).

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

... nice configuration! Which is that Micdorisc clone? And the floppy emulator... is it an HxC or a Gotek with an alternate firmware? This is my rock solid working configuration, for the beautiful one I'll take new picture :). It's Silicebit's controller + Gotek updated with HxC firmware + 3.5" flo...

Re: Blake's 7 feedback and review thread

Thanks for the great game, Chema! I'm advancing slow so the fun on real hardware will last longer :).
So far no bugs by me with the 1.0, I will play the update too.
I think I heard something about a sequel soon? 8)

Re: Development of Blake's 7 (was OASIS development)

Yep, you are right - that's the normal human expectation when using joystick push=up/pull=down. Maybe the logic in Oricutron is swapped - if I define: kbjoy1_up = 'KP8' kbjoy1_down = 'KP2' then by pressing key pad '8' and expect cursor to go up - it goes down. But as I said it's easy to swap the val...

Re: Development of Blake's 7 (was OASIS development)

I just found that joystick's up/down directions are swapped. In Oricutron this is easy to be fixed with redefining the keys.
Unfortunately I still can't find my real joystick to test.
Else, thanks again for the game - it's pure fun to play!

Re: Oricutron 1.0 (EDIT: Now 1.2)

For 240x224 pictures you can capture very short video - press F10, wait a second, press F10 again to stop capture.
Than using ffmpeg extract the first frame:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -y -i video00.avi -frames:v 1 test.png
You can use png, jpg, bmp ....

The biggest problem to interface the tape relay is that it normally requires some electronic parts which need additional po...

I'm very happy to present some videos from the tests of TapOric . On the right is the screen of the same android phone which I control with TeamViewer. 1. Speed...

TrackOric is currently part of TapOric.
There is no problem to be released as standalone app too. All android code is ready and supposed to work.
Now remains the more interesting Oric part...
