Re: OricExos - making the impossible
I want this so bad it hurts. Lets turn this system into a multi-timbral polyphonic synthesiser!

Re: Game Release: 8bit-Slicks Online Racer for Apple, Atari, C64 (Atmos Next!!!)
I imagine a case you can just 'clip' onto the back of an Oric/Atmos, which sort of closes the legacy ports off and exposes only the now-gen stuff ..

Re: Networking Orics.
Whoa, I would love to have the gumption to jump on this, but I'd kinda rather build my own .. will you be making this closed/open, design-wise?

Re: ORIC SDCARD
Would be good to get this sorted out - I'll commit to at least 5 of these boards, out of the batch .. and am willing to finance more if there is interest and we might get them distributed, over time, to other Oric users.

Re: ORIC SDCARD
I really want to make one of these ORIC SDCARD projects - anyone else interested? I think we can (affordably) do a small production run of PCB's if we get enough interest ..

Re: Networking Orics.
This is a great project and its sure going to be exciting to see its use in multiplayer gaming! :). But personally, I prefer WiFi. I don't have another Ethernet port available.. and my other retro machines have boards that allow easy to use WiFi too .. (e.g. M4 Board) .. come to think of it, maybe i...

Re: CC65 to DSK
Looks pretty good to this old Oric fans eyes .. but I wonder if you wouldn't get better results if you used AIC for the sprites themselves - looks like right now you're drawing new attributes with each sprite and getting the attribute clash, but if you were to use the AIC bit on the sprites, perhaps...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible
Wow, this is amazing progress .. All I can think about is multi-timbral synthesis. I want to build an Exos just for that purpose.

Re: OricExos - making the impossible
It is a fair point: with the ULA reverse engineered, someone clever should get on the FPGA wagon and give us a clone we can demolish, or so. That'd be really, really nice in fact and I agree with you 100%. But to answer your first point, I have a collection of Oric's (8x Atmos, 2x Oric-1, 1x Telestr...

Re: OricExos - making the impossible
Indeed, great work! I'm thinking this new PCB you've designed might make it moderately easier for some of us to build our own OricExos's? Apart from the de-soldering of the ULA, I suppose ..

Re: Port Crazee Rider?
That does look pretty good .. I wonder what the performance would be like with a bit more gameplay mechanics .. and I still don't understand how the lines are able to be so colourful .. but I guess I should read the code.
. Definitely inspiring!
